Mount Edgecombe Stables is situated just 5 minutes from Gateway, Umhlanga. We offer the convenience of being close to the “New Town Centre” yet still have the pleasure of the country side atmosphere. It is owned and run by Sarah Kennedy and Claire Bolstridge who together boast 40 years of equine experience. We offer livery for privately owned horses as well as have a very successful riding school.
The care of the horses at Mount Edgecombe Stables is paramount and we believe in a “hands on” approach. We are SPCA approved and work closely with our visiting vets ensuring proper care and veterinary management of the horses at our yard. Horses are groomed and cared for by our staff of 9 trustworthy grooms who all live on the property. We have grooms that can ride, lunge and do complete show turn out. One of our grooms is a development rider who is currently competing in showing, dressage and jumping!
We cater for all types of riders/horses from the competitive show jumpers, dressage, gymkhana and showing riders to the “happy hackers” who have kilometres of sugar cane path outrides to explore.
